Our Satisfied Clients Say it Best

$30,000 Recovered with Professionalism

"I just wanted to drop you a note regarding the results of the audit performed by AuditRate on behalf of Continental Web Press.

It was discovered that Continental was overcharged by approximately $30,000 in premiums during the years under audit. AuditRate was successful in obtaining refunds for us in that amount. The overcharges were primarily the result of "modification rate" errors, although other adjustments were discovered.

Besides the obvious economic benefits of your engagement, I would like to commend your people for their professionalism in conducting their examination and working with our insurance broker and underwriters. In addition, you were persistent in getting things to move and kept us abreast as to the status of our claims.

We are satisfied with AuditRate, its experts and results and would be glad to recommend your organization to others."

Talent Show, Mirage Hotel & Casino

A talent drive is underway to recruit the greatest magicians for the "Siegfried & Roy" show in Las Vegas.  They need people who can convert paper tigers into real tigers.  Paper tigers are scary - real tigers are beautiful.  Every night at the Mirage the show is packed with those who thrill at magic and wonder and seemingly from nowhere come the gorgeous white tigers.

Workers compensation premiums remind us of paper tigers.  We look at loss runs, outrageous premiums and ugly things like modifiers, N.C.C.I., the pool and on and on.  But Burton Placement Services see these things now as paper tigers not as the real things because we have found a magician.  He has saved us in excess of $200,000 within the past year - not projected savings but actual savings.  How does he do it?  Nobody knows!  Nobody knows because magicians don't tell others how to do their tricks.  That's O.K. but when the talent scouts arrive we will submit the name of the greatest magician in Chicago - a man who can turn a paper tiger into "wonder, pleasure, awe and even ecstasy".  Step aside Roy, here comes "Siegfried and Swoik".

During the past year your staff has saved us in excess of $150,000 in actual cost, and an indeterminable amount on better policies, correct workers compensation codes and just plain consulting advice. Incurred claims get reduced and settled quickly, resulting in a much lower modifier. You staff never promises what it can't deliver and that is very refreshing." We have the greatest respect for the professionalism and competence demonstrated by your staff.

Don Burton, President, Burton Placement Services, Inc.

$222,000 Recovered with Extensive Expertise

As you know, we recently settled the workers compensation retrospective premium claim against my client on what we both consider a very favorable basis.  My client's bill was reduced from $327,000 to $105,000.

Needless to say (but I'm going to say it anyway), none of this would have been possible without the extensive expertise, bulldog tenacity and just plan grittiness of Kurt Murray.  He was responsible for transforming a somewhat amorphous claims mishandling case into a business misclassification claim which the insurance company could not deny and which was impetuous for the settlement.

Kurt has been of invaluable assistance throughout the case, and a constant pleasure to work with.  I hope that we have the opportunity to work together again, and will not hesitate in recommending Kurt and AuditRate whenever I have the opportunity.

REFUND EXCEEDS SIX YEARS PREMIUMS !

I would like you TO know how pleased we were here at Twinplex with the outcome of your audit.  We were skeptical at first, thinking that it would be a waste of our resources.  This couldn't be farther from the truth.  Rich Swoik from your company uncovered $125,292 in errors going back 8 years and we used very little resources in its recovery.

We could not believe this was possible.  Even more amazing was the way he fought and your success in getting the dollars refunded from the insurance companies through their jungle of bureaucracy.

Realizing that we only pay around $20,000 in Workers Compensation premium a year, the size of the refund was staggering.  We were elated with the quality and dedication of your company.  Thank you again for the tremendous effort in helping us out.

Steven R. McIntyre, Controller, Twinplex Manufacturing Company

                                    CHECKUP REFUNDS $12,000

Your service ended up finding around $12,000 in overcharges due to payrolls being misapplied in our Workers Compensation policies.  It was hard to believe because we were confident that our broker and carrier were doing the audits correctly.

Even though this might not appear to be a large refund,  it matters to us to have all of our insurance correct.  It is good to know there are companies like yours that have checks and balances in place to keep an eye on the insurance industry.  This repair fixed past and current policies.  Please thank your staff for their professionalism in this task.  We look forward to continuing to work with your company.

                        REPEAT AUDIT PRODUCES BIG ENCORE

I wanted to express my appreciation for the many successes that Milk Specialties has received from your Audit-Rate service.  We started working with Audit-Rate around 1994 to see if there were any refunds in our insurance premiums due to miscalculations.  Back then your service was able to find approximately $57,000 in recovery due to errors, mostly with the classification of our operations.

Years later in 1999, your folks called to called to see if they could take another look to see how everything appeared since we last met.  To our amazement they found another $50,000 in errors, this time due to a multiple of things, including misclassifications again, Experience Modification errors, misapplied payrolls, etc.  It is hard to believe that such large recovery could happen twice within 5 years.

It is quite disturbing that no one saw this or questioned our premiums.  You take it for granted that the experts you have in place are doing the job, but it turns out they don't have that kind of expertise.  Also, the insurance companies, no matter how big, let things slip through the cracks.  Your staff spent a lot of time, and the detail that was involved was so precise, that we could see why the NCCI and insurance companies have a hard time disputing your findings.  Please let everyone know that we are believers and that we are in gratitude for your work.

Terry Clark, Vice President of Finance, Milk Specialties Company
